About Us

Libera has been in existence since 1963 and is a leading actuarial and consulting firm. We are independent of banks, life insurance companies and auditors.

Our clients include pension funds and companies, both public and private sector. We provide consultancy services to some 200 of these and administrative services to around 60. They comprise both major pension funds insuring several thousand members and well-known clients with smaller numbers of insured members.

Around 80 staff work at our locations in Basel and Zurich. They include 14 certified Swiss pension fund experts, most of them members of the Swiss Chamber of Pension Fund Experts. Libera also has highly qualified specialists in other areas. Many employees are multilingual, and Libera offers consultancy services in seven European languages. 

A&L Asalis was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Libera.

A&L Asalis is a Swiss investment consultant which assists pension funds through the entire investment process. It is independent of financial institutions and operates in accordance with transparent consulting principles.

MGAC's Network

The MGAC was founded in 1991 by independent actuarial and consulting firms from around the world who have ever since been working closely with one another in order to meet their client’s needs for international actuarial advice. The network meets regularly to discuss trends, share ideas and foster strong business relations. 

Comprising 25 actuarial consulting firms and employing over 6000 people across six continents the MGAC enables our member firms around the globe to work together to provide clients with high-quality services related to the design, administration and communication of employee benefit plans. The MGAC also has extensive links with organizations in other countries not formally represented, and is ready to assist wherever required.
