Pensions

Services for Employers

LCP offer a wealth of experience and expertise to assist employers with the management of their pension arrangements. Our consultants' actuarial training is of particular benefit to employers seeking to determine the level of financial and demographic risks in any proposed pension arrangement.

Services for Trustees

Pension Fund Trustees have an important responsibility. We provide a range of services to help trustees perform their duties in accordance with best practice and in line with legislation. Our advice is clear and precise and allows trustees to make fully informed decisions.

Services for Providers

In the increasingly complex area of corporate pensions, many Life Offices and Pension Consultants are exploring new ways of maintaining an efficient service with the requisite expertise.

LCP's dedicated team can offer assistance to such providers. The assistance is tailored to the needs of the provider in question and can range from a one off compliance audit to a complete outsource of actuarial consultancy.

Insurance

Life

In the increasingly complex area of corporate pensions, many Life Offices and Pension Consultants are exploring new ways of maintaining an efficient service with the requisite expertise.

Non-Life

LCP provides actuarial consulting services for non-life insurance. Our non-life consultancy covers the range of traditional and emerging areas where actuarial expertise can add value, including reserving, capital modelling, risk management and reinsurance strategy.

Financial Dynamics

Problem solving for business – beyond traditional actuarial advice LCP Financial Dynamics Practice adds value by offering organisations a new dimension to risk appraisal, business modelling and valuations.
Our recent work has included advising on issues as diverse as:

  • Pricing Equity Release products
  • Risks involved in shutting down major industrial plants
  • The valuation of a luxury car brand
  • The valuation of liabilities arising from reward points
  • Valuation of intangible assets & goodwill following purchase of a business

Investment

LCP's Investment Consulting team provides high quality investment advice to trustees and sponsors of pension schemes, as well as advice to clients in the broader area of risk management.

We believe it is vital that the risks and rewards behind a client's investment policy are fully understood by the key decision makers. The consequences of an inappropriate investment policy can be enormous.

In order to ensure our clients have an appropriate policy, we:

  • identify the potentially complex and conflicting needs;
  • give clear advice on how to address those needs; and
  • help with the implementation of the chosen solution.

MGAC's Network

The MGAC was founded in 1991 by independent actuarial and consulting firms from around the world who have ever since been working closely with one another in order to meet their client’s needs for international actuarial advice. The network meets regularly to discuss trends, share ideas and foster strong business relations.

In 2016 one of our members, Abraham Hernández Pacheco from Vitalis, México, has been appointed President of the Pensions, Benefits and Social Security Section (PBSS) of the International Actuarial Association (IAA), which is another great asset to our network.

Comprising 25 actuarial consulting firms and employing over 6000 people across six continents the MGAC enables our member firms around the globe to work together to provide clients with high-quality services related to the design, administration and communication of employee benefit plans. The MGAC also has extensive links with organizations in other countries not formally represented, and is ready to assist wherever required.
